Analog-HD Coax (AHD, SVBC) Dome Cameras
Analog High Definition specification, or AHD, is a CCTV technology focusing on compatibility as its primary advantage and bridges the gap between standard analog and high definition technologies. Similar to standard analog cameras, AHD cameras utilize the traditional coaxial cabling used in existing analog systems, but offers an optional additional channel mode which allows the transmission of video signal resolutions of up to 720p (1280 x 720 pixels). AHD cameras are fully backward compatible with older analog CCTV cabling and equipment, but are also compatible with the newer hardware of high definition CCTV systems. Long distance transmissions (up to 500m), improved image quality and superior equipment compatibility is what can be expected of Analog High Definition cameras.
